Pastor Angela has been serving the community of Malden and First Lutheran Church since 2005. She is originally from the northern Midwest. She attended college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Mount Mary College where she studied Theology and German with the intention of continuing her studies and discernment toward the public ministry.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she went to seminary to continue her theological training. She attended the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Pastor Angela also studied a year at the University of Leipzig, Germany in the School of Theology.

Her clinical practical education was completed through Stanford Medical Center where she was deployed to and served as a chaplain at the native Eskimo hospital and nursing home in Nome, Alaska. She received more practical education when she served as intern pastor of the International Church of Copenhagen, Denmark, an ecumenical and multicultural Christian congregation.

Pastor Angela graduated with her Masters of Divinity in 2004 and she was ordained to Word and Sacrament ministry in the ELCA in 2005 when she was called to serve as solo pastor of First Lutheran Church in Malden.

Pastor Angela enjoys the greater New England area and all it has to offer. Her favorite pastimes are exploring the beaches of Boston’s northshore and hiking through the hills and forests with her best friend, Molly the black lab.
