Message from the Pastor

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ.

I want to welcome you to our website. My hope is that you will be able to explore who we are at First Lutheran Church, and that you will feel welcomed to come and join us. We worship every Sunday at 9:30 am. On September 11th we will move back to our regular time of worship at 10:30 a.m. You are invited to join us for worship.

Here at First Lutheran Church, we are a congregation of Lutheran Christians who come from a variety of backgrounds. We are a diverse community made up of our neighbors who live in Malden and in surrounding towns. The members and friends of First Lutheran Church are people with every day life issues and experiences like yours. We are a community who has fun together and enjoys laughter.

We gather weekly to hear and to study God's words of encouragement. We hear and experience God's love, comfort, and guidance. Each Sunday at worship, we celebrate Holy Communion. We welcome all baptized children of God to receive this Sacrament. We also welcome those who are seeking to better understand their faith to come and be a part of this community.

When we gather at First Lutheran Church, we give thanks for the love and blessings that we received from God through Jesus Christ. When we gather together, we celebrate with each other the hope we find in the promises of God. Those promises of God are made and kept in the life, death, and resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ. When we gather, we are encouraged to find ways to speak of our faith and put our faith into action in the communities in which we live and work and study.

We invite you to come and visit. Come join us for worship or for a weekly gathering you see on our calendar. You are welcome to contact me, Pastor Angela, in the church office for any questions. We are pleased to extend to you the hospitality which God encourages the church to extend to all people.
